How direct sponsorships run
Direct sponsors can share the A1, B1 and C2 placements. Each creative stays up for six seconds, then rotates to the next sponsor in that slot. Rotation runs only while the slot is on screen. It pauses when a reader hovers over or tabs to the ad, and it stays still for readers who have turned on reduced motion. Every unit carries the label “Advertisement.”
Send artwork as PNG or JPG at standard and double resolution, with a click-through link. You supply the creative or approve ours in writing. Flight dates, placements and creative are confirmed in a written insertion order before anything runs. Sports-betting and gaming sponsors must be licensed in the states they target, must carry “21+ · Gambling Problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER” on the creative, and are accepted case by case.
Editorial independence
Advertising does not buy coverage. Ads never sit on top of article text. Where an ad appears inside an article, it sits between paragraphs and is labeled “Advertisement.” Sponsored content, if any is published, is labeled “Paid partnership” and kept separate from news. See our disclosure policy.
