Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Influence collects when you read 1nfluenc3.com, subscribe to the newsletter or write to the desk, how that information is used, and the choices you have. Influence is the editorial brand of 1nfluenc3 Media, which is responsible for this site.
What we collect
- Newsletter sign-ups. Your email address, when you subscribe.
- Messages to the desk. The topic, your name, your email address and the message you send through the contact form, including tips and correction requests.
- Quote requests. The details you submit on our Services pages, such as your name, organization, email, phone and project notes.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server data, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver and secure the site.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, payment details, government ID numbers or health information through this site.
How we use it
- To send the newsletter you asked for. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link.
- To read, verify and answer tips, corrections and press inquiries. A tip is never published on its own; it is checked against an independent source first, as set out in our Editorial Standards.
- To respond to quote requests for 1nfluenc3 Media’s production services.
- To keep the site running, secure and free of spam.
We do not sell personal information. News and agency work are kept separate: submitting a tip or a quote request does not put you in our coverage, and it does not buy coverage.
Confidential sources
If you ask the desk to keep your identity confidential, tell us before you share details. We limit access to that message to the people who need it to verify the story. Email and web forms are not fully anonymous; for sensitive tips, say so and we will discuss a safer way to talk.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run the site. Our host (Netlify) serves pages and receives form submissions. Typefaces load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads. Links to Instagram, X, LinkedIn and other sites are governed by those companies’ own policies.
Market data strip. The ticker tape under the header on each page is provided by TradingView. When a page loads, TradingView receives the page address, your IP address, and the widget type and symbols shown. Its use of that data is governed by TradingView’s own privacy policy.
Cookies and advertising
Influence carries third-party advertising. Each advertisement is labeled “Advertisement” and is kept separate from editorial content. Sports-betting advertisements carry the notice “21+ · Gambling Problem? Call 1-800-GAMBLER”. The advertisements are images served from this site; they do not set cookies or track you across sites. Selecting one opens the advertiser’s own website in a new tab, where that company’s privacy policy applies.
The site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. If we add audience measurement or advertising technology that uses cookies, we will update this page first and, where required, ask for your consent. Paid content, if any is ever published, will be labeled “Paid partnership”.
How long we keep it
Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Messages and quote requests are kept only as long as needed to handle them and for our business records, then deleted.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by writing to team@1nfluenc3.com. Depending on where you live, including California and the European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under local law; we will honor them.
Children
Influence is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
When this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the site.
